Maxime Chaumont-Lessard
Maxime is specialized in natural heritage management and interpretation and has over 15 years' experience in environmental education. Having worked for environmental and conservation organizations such as Société des établissements de plein air du Québec (SÉPAQ), Enviro Éduc-Action, Nature Conservancy of Canada, Boucher forest Foundation and the National Capital Commission, he has developed an expertise in raising public awareness on environmental issues.

Summary of the presentation
Ottawa Riverkeeper, a registered charity, is a champion and collective voice for the Ottawa River watershed, providing leadership and inspiration to protect, promote and improve its ecological health and future. In this presentation, Ottawa Riverkeeper's Educator, Maxime Chaumont-Lessard, will share some of the highlights about the work that Ottawa Riverkeeper does, how it helps us understand health of the Ottawa River watershed, and how those insights are used to educate the next generations of river protectors.
