Tour of Beechwood Cemetery
This is an hour long tour and it will be the Western Tour, which includes 9/11 Memorial.
Please register by May 4th 2026
Walking through the West half of Beechwood Cemetery is like walking through the history of early Canada. Tour attendees will hear familiar Ottawa street names and how these prominent families helped build the city. This tour visits some of the cemetery’s oldest sections, beautiful gardens, and the Mausoleum. Participants will also learn how a local community cemetery grew into Canada’s National Cemetery.
Please meet your guide at the gazebo across from the Beechwood National Memorial Centre. There is plenty of parking at the main office in the parking lot.
The tour is rain or shine but will be cancelled if its thundering or there are high winds.
Following the tour the group will have lunch at the Royal Oak on Beechwood Avenue.
When you register, please indicated if you are attending both the tour and the lunch.
